Hi, my name is Sharon Steinhauser and I’m the director of The Schoolhouse. I have been associated with The Schoolhouse for over 10 years on many different levels. My oldest daughter attended in 1997/98. As a parent, I felt confident leaving her in a loving, safe and stimulating environment. Both of my boys also attended The Schoolhouse. I graduated from the University of Kansas in 1988 with a BA degree in Early Childhood Development and feel it gave me an awesome advantage in raising my own children. Out of college I worked in the Advertising Sales industry for 5 years and after having my daughter I chose to be a stay at home mom for many treasured years. In 2002, I was hired as a part-time teacher at The Schoolhouse and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every child I have had the privilege to teach. As a parent, I was impressed with the school, but as a teacher I was even more impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the staff. I am so excited and passionate about my role as director of The Schoolhouse. I love working with the children, parents, and the staff. My goal is to continue the high standard and 22-year tradition of our program that supports the development of children socially, emotionally and cognitively.
